Child and Family Wellness Consultancy

The Child and Family Wellness Consultancy can make a positive difference to your service and organisation because it is grounded in the expanding evidence base that connects emotional and social wellbeing with the valuing and nurturing of all the relationships that surround the child. In particular, this emphasises the importance of attachment in these key relationships and its impact on the child’s emotional, social and cognitive development.

The Child and Family Wellness Consultancy helps services and agencies concerned with the welfare and support of children parents and families, to develop the “bigger picture” in the delivery of effective services at a time of major change. Our organisational and consultancy service offers:

  • staff training, development and supervision
  • consultation to senior management
  • assessment of existing services and project development

The consultancy service offers a practice-based approach to help professionals and organisations extend their understanding of child and family development and promote the building of individual, professional and community capacity based on the following five building blocks:

  • reframing professional practice
  • reframing our vision of childhood
  • giving professionals the right tools to do the job
  • attending to the relational capacity and needs of the work force
  • introducing reflective practice at the level of work with the individual, the family, the organisation, and the community
